HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISSIE

Morning Limettes hope you've had a good week.

Today it's our wonderful leader Chrissie's birthday so
it's an 'Anything Goes' week at Less is More but still CAS

I seem to remember Chrissie saying she is involved with a choir
and she often uses images with birds so I wanted to combine the two

Just noticed that I don't do any paper-piecing in ages but
then have 2 cards in as many weeks with this technique!

The image, sentiment and pink paper are Pink Petticoat,
the blue paper is from Doodlebug and I've finished with some
gems, enamel dot and glamour dust for added sparkle.

The white panel and a strip of pink paper have been die-cut using
MFT Die-namics chevron dies then mounted on 3d foam pads.

For this card I decided florals are always 'safe' for feminine cards and I simply
had to try out the newly released 'Sweet Rose' set from Clearly Besotted.

I've 'cased' a fantastic card by Jennifer McGuire here and like Jennifer
I've heat embossed the outline images onto vellum then coloured
with Promarkers on the reverse before die-cutting.
The sentiment is also Clearly Besotted, Sweet Little Sentiments
which is mounted on a sentiment strip from MFT Die-namics.
To finish I've added some gems from my stash and a Winkette of Stella.

I'm sure you'll all want to wish Chrissie a very happy day
so over to you now and I'll catch up with you soon.

SINGING IN THE RAIN

Morning All, hope you are up for a new Less is More challenge.
As you read this I'm hopefully on route to my summer holiday
in Italy so Mr Blogger is 'fingers crossed' scheduling my posts for
the next couple of weeks.

So this week as my title suggests it's
'Singing in the Rain'

Only had chance to make one tiny offering this week but to make up
there's a few sneaky peak photos, at the bottom of my post, of my newly
renovated my master bedroom and ensuite shower room.

I've raided my digi-image downloads to make today's card using
a cute little image from Squigglefly.

He's been paper-pieced using papers from Pink Petticoat,
coloured with Promarkers, glossy accents and a Winkette of Stella
The sentiment is Uniko Studio - Flower Power and
to finish I've used Doodlebug sequins and pearls from my stash

Apologies in advance but commenting may prove difficult while I'm away;
if I can find some Wi-fi I'll give it a go.

There's still curtains and different bedding plus accessories needed but
I'm loving it and well worth the upheaval and mess.

Ok have fun creating and I'll catch up with you all soon.

OLC FINGER PRINT

Morning All
It's that time again ... how quickly has this week gone?!?!?
So the Less is More challenge this week is a ONE LAYER card
with a twist 'Adapt a Fingerprint'

Now can I offer a word of advice before you eagerly launch into this challenge ...
If you have an important event to go to this evening or tomorrow
then leave this challenge for a couple of days!
My fingers were literally smothered in ink and it took about 2 days to go completely!

To make matters worse I'd already made my cards last weekend
and feeling pleased with myself at being so organised I sat back with inky fingers!

Yesterday I had the shock of my life ... DT Anne blogged her cards and
ARRRRRGHHHHH! It was a one layer week! Grrrrr!
So I've had to get all inked up again!

I'm not that thrilled with what I've come up with but there's a
couple of pictures at the bottom of my earlier
(non OLC) cards which I'm much happier with.

Ok first up I've masked off an odd looking 'V' panel and set to
with some distress inks.
I decided the easiest option was to put a different colour on three fingers but
it took a lot of concentration to make sure I dipped the right finger in the right ink!!!
The sentiments are Clearly Besotted - In The Frame set
and to finish off I've added a couple of enamel dots from Doodlebug.

I've used the colours from this week's ColourQ Challenge so I'll be heading that way.

Next up, I've followed the sketch from this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge
and the colour scheme from ColourQ again

I've stamped the outline images using Uniko Studio Flower Power#2
then coloured the petals with my fingerprint using Distress Inks.
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and I've added some Doodlebug
sequins then pearls from my stash.

This one is another following the CAS(E) This Sketch layout and
I've tried out the colour scheme from Color Throwdown.

The image is Uniko Studio Background Builders Circles with a fingerprint
in the centre. Finished off with a sentiment from Clearly Besotted,
sprinkles and sequins from Doodlebug

Here's a couple of my NON-OLC ones

Right ... now it's your turn.
It's actually quite good fun getting messy and creative
so looking forward to seeing your creations.

Good luck and thanks for stopping by

EARTH COLOUR SCHEME

Thanks for all the fabulous recycling ideas from last week ... just knew I could rely on you all
This week the brief at Less is More is to use Earth Colours and
yet again this proved tricky for me
as they are not my 'go to colours' so here's what I've got:

First of all I must apologise for the photography ... hubby (my photographer) took these then shot out to work so the second one particularly is a bit iffy! Think a few stern words might be in order!!!
Not too stern though as he may refuse to do them and I'd be left to fathom out his hi-tech camera.

I've coloured this James teddy bear stamp from Lili of the Valley with my new Inktense pencils.
More practise required I think! He's mounted on 3d foam along two strips of textured cardstock.
The sentiment is from Uniko Studio and to finish I've added a couple of candy dots from Stampin' Up

The theme at Addicted to Stamps this week is
'Make Your Mark'
So I'm going to drop in there with James the Teddy Bear.
One of my blog buddies, Anita from Neet and Crafty has just joined as a DT so
here's a little support for her in particular

Next up I've used the sketch from this week's Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

The patterned papers are from Doodlebug, sentiment is Clearly Besotted and leaf dies are
from Marianne Creatables. To add a bit of interest I've adhered some pearls from my stash to the leaves.

Over to you now and once again I'm looking forward to visiting your blogs in the week
for some stunning 'earthy' inspiration.

RAINING CATS AND DOGS!

HaHa ... the rain is so heavy outside that I couldn't resist naming my post!

Years ago I had a German pen pal and she used to tell me this is what the English people say when it rains!

Anyway a very quick post as I've a mountain of things to do and a couple of challenge cards and first up I must apologise for the photography. I'm still trying to get to grips with the best place to photograph in my new craft room. Hubby (Mr Dazzle) took these on his way out to work this morning but I've only just got chance to look at them! Hmmmm! Think a little work may be required later!!!

So first up is for the Uniko Challenge where it's a colour theme this month.
I've used my newly purchased gorgeous Gerbera stamp set with a sentiment from Flower Power which has been embossed onto an MFT Die-damics Fishtail flag.

I love the tiled effect I've seen on blogland and this image works perfectly I think.
To finish I've added a couple of gems and some purple metallic cord from my stash.

Next up is my entry to the ColourQ challenge and as soon as I saw this I thought ... Argggh!
I've not got a card off to my US relatives for the 4th July. Looks like I'll have to cyber-send this one!

Supplies Used:
Clearly Besotted: Geometric I stamps & dies
Papermania: Textured cardstock
Josy Rose: Nailheads
Uniko Studio: Sentiment from Flower Power

Ok, I'll be back tomorrow and thanks for stopping by.
