AAA CAS Cards Challenge #74

Hi friends, are you ready for a new challenge over at
AAA CAS Cards Challenge
I hope so ... this one's all about masking so have some fun but
please keep it Clean and Simple.
I've got two cards for you today using masking ...

This one uses the Birthday Butterfly set by Happy Little Stampers and having
created a masked frame around the central section of the card I heat embossed
the butterflies and sentiment with (my new favourite EP) Ranger Liquid Platinum!
I masked the butterflies as I went along then coloured them with promarkers.

I'd like to pop this one in at Anything Goes with Happy Little Stamps
I just love this Birthday Butterfly set and it's my go-to set for these
gorgeous winged creatures!

Next up using the same masked frame I've used a Multi Facetted stencil
by My Favorite Things then inked through with Distress Inks in
Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron.
A quick flick and spritz of water mixed with Perfect Pearls because I just
can't resist doing that!!!! The sentiment is by Neat & Tangled: Everyday Circles
plus the 'birthday' greeting from Avery Elle: Sentimental. The cirular panel is popped
up on 3d foam for dimension and to finish a few sequins.
As always my teamies have worked their masking magic and you can
find links to their blogs HERE plus we are joined by another of our
previous winners and a super talented crafter too
Rahmat of Cards and Cooking Corner
I'm sure you'll have come across Rahmat in blogland but please
pop along and leave her some love ... I'm sure she'd appreciate it.
Our sponsor for this one is Stampendous and if you want to be in
with a shout of a prize then please link your entries up by 8th October!
Thanks so much for calling by today and I hope you have fun with the challenge!

Less is More #295

Hello there friends can you believe we are back to Saturday? I certainly can't believe that
one week has passed now since our daughter got all grown up as we left her at University.
I have to say I was much more upset than she was - she just couldn't wait to start on a whole
new chapter in her life. I'm pleased to report she's coping brilliantly, making new friends,
getting stuck in and having fun with this exciting adventure! Our house is super quiet
and there's a whole lot more food in the fridge too! Hmmmm!
Guess that's who's been eating it all!

So back to this week and time for our RECIPE challenge over at Less is More
and this week we'd like to see some THREAD on your cards.

Here's mine and first up - I've gone all festive and Christmassy!

I started out by die-cutting a frame using the MFT Die-Namics pierced
rectangle dies. I made a criss-cross pattern of gold embroidery thread along the
back of the frame, added some acetate, foam tape and sequins to create a shaker!
The die-cut Christmas is by Clearly Besotted and the 'happy' from Winnie & Walter.
To finish a couple of sparkly gold sticky dots from my stash.

I'd like to enter this one over at CASology this week where the cue word is

This one's all cutsie and Autumal!

This time using some green embroidery threads from my stash which
I've wrapped around a panel of cardstock to create an ombre background.
Then using the Clearly Besotted 'Let's Roll' set and some leaf dies by
MFT die-namics 'Lily' I put together a little Autumn scene.

That's all I've had chance to make for this one but please head over to
the Less is More blog HERE where you'll find the links to my teamies'
blogs and as always they've created some awesome examples for you.

I hope you'll feel inspired and play along with us this week and
thanks for stopping by today!

Uniko Challenge #36 - Reminder

Hi there friends, I'm back with a gentle reminder about the current challenge over at

Uniko

You've still plenty of time to play along and this month's theme is
Autumn with the optional twist of 'Thanks'

Here's mine using a clever technique by Jennifer Maguire which you
can check out HERE - it's a cheat's inlaid die technique but it's FAB!

I pulled out all the Uniko leaf dies I had and 'inlaid' them into some
pearlised bronze cardstock then using the Labelled Love - Thanks set
(sorry discontinued) I've heat-embossed one of the labels using the
Ranger Liquid Platinum EP, mounted on 3d foam then vellum plus to
finish some sparkly sprinkles and pearls.

As always my fellow teamies have got some magical designs
to share with you and if you head over to the Uniko blog HERE
you'll find all the links and details of the prizes on offer.

Hope you feel inspired to play along and thanks as always for
stopping by my blog! I'll be back tomorrow with the latest
challenge from Less is More!

Less is More #294

Morning LIMettes are we happy it's Saturday again?

I'm hoping Mr Blogger is going to play fair this weekend as this is a scheduled post!
Our baby daughter has all grown up and we're taking her to start her first year
at university today - not too far away thankfully! So while you are reading this
I'm either on the road to Liverpool or running late frantically trying to cram all
of her 'essential' belongings into the car!

Ok! Let's get to the task in hand which is to introduce our challenge for the week
at Less is More and it's Theme week - we've chosen Diamonds! WOW!

I've excelled myself this week and have 3 cards to share with you

Stamps: Lil'Inkers set 'Girl's Best Friend'
Dies: MFT Die-Namics Basic Stitched Border and Stitched Square dies
plus Waffle Flower sentiment strips.
Distress Inks: Shaded Lilac & Blueprint Sketch

I'm heading over to Addicted to Stamps and More with this one
to enter their Anything Goes Challenge!

Recipe:

WOW Metallic Silver Sparkle Embossing powder

I'd like to enter this card over at Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge
where it's Clean and Simple this week!

Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

I hope you feel inspired to play along with us and I can't wait to

Uniko Challenge #36

Morning friends, are you ready for another new challenge over at
Uniko

I hope so and as we swing into Autumn that's the theme of this month's
challenge with the optional twist of 'Thanks'

Here's mine and I've used a combinations of stamps to create this
which I've listed below.

All Uniko Stamps used and let's hope I remember them all:
Beautiful Blooms III
BG Builders Vines & Winter Additions
Labelled Love - Thanks (sadly discontinued)

As always my fellow teamies have got some magical designs
to share with you and if you head over to the Uniko blog HERE
you'll find all the links and details of the prizes on offer.

We've some super exciting news too although you may have spotted
Bev's post a few days ago sharing the news that we have a new teamie;
I'm sure she won't need an introduction as she's so popular around blogland.

We're definitely thrilled to welcome Rahmat of Cards and Cooking Corner
to our little team. I'm sure you'll find her designs totally inspiring.

Finally I'd like to enter my card in a couple of challenges:
plus
Time Out Challenges - Photo inspiration below.
I've gone with a definite Autumnal theme using lots of reds, yellows and oranges

Hope you feel inspired to play along and thanks as always for
stopping by my blog! I'll be back tomorrow with the latest
challenge from Less is More!

Couple of Kylie Challenges

Hi Friends I've a card to share today which is the
'other half' / 'negative space' / 'alternate view'
of a card I created for the Muse Card Challenge HERE
when I was kindly invited to be their Guest Designer for the week.

I was actually torn with which card to post as I love this one too so
decided I'd post this today and enter into a few challenges at the same time!

This uses Brushos to create the original panel (spritzed with water) from which I've
die-cut the heart of gold by Neat & Tangled! I think this is currently my
absolute FAV die! Can't stop reaching for it. It's quite intricate and not
one of those little inner bits are the same size so it's a real puzzle to piece it back together
 - especially when you put masking paper on the back instead of stick-it!!!

The sentiment is by Avery Elle and to pull the colours together I've used some coordinating
gems and Doodlebug enamel dots. The front panel is die-cut using an MFT stitched
rectangle die which I've 'stretched' in die-cut machine to fit a standard UK A6 card!
This front panel is also mounted on 3d foam for added interest so the heart is set back
although it's not that obvious in the photo sadly! Always the case eh!

This card just so happens it fit's into lots of Kylie's challenges (hence the title of my post)
so here goes:

First up:

I'd also like to stick my neck on the line and try my chances

Thanks as always for calling by my blog and I'll be back tomorrow
with the latest challenge details for Uniko - hope to see you then!

Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

Hello there friends, today I'm here with a different kind of post for
Less is More

as we are taking part in a HUGE challenge blog hop in association with Altenew
and 17 other challenge blogs. The idea (thought up by May Park of Altenew)
is a celebration of crafting challenge blogs which bring together a whole community
of crafty folk, sharing our hobby, techniques, talents and above all enjoyment
of all things crafty. What's more the timing is just perfect as a pre-celebration for
the World Cardmaking Day in October.

Here's my card using the gorgeous painted butterflies set by Altenew,
inks by Altenew and sentiment from Magnolias for her ... also by Altenew!

To find out more details, how to play, what you can win etc. please
head over to our Less is More blog HERE or the Altenew blog HERE

I hope you'll feel inspired to dust off those Altenew sets, get stamping
and join in the fun! As always thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

Guest Designer for CASology

Hello crafty buddies, I'm so excited today as I've been invited to be the

Whoopie!
That's what I thought until I realised what the cue word was for the week!

So having scratched my head and tipped my stamps upside down
I came up with a card using 2 'bark' images which I hope fits in at CASology!

I started out by dry-embossing a panel of watercolour card with a
'bark' effect texture before inking over the top in various brown distress inks.
A little spritz and flick of my favourite water and perfect pearl mix before
die-cutting the top edge with a stitched curve border die. The little puppy
(not barking here) is from the Mama Elephant Playful Pups set along
with the cute sentiment.

Don't forget to check out the fantastic talent from the CASology DT HERE
I certainly can't wait to see how they've interpreted the Cue word.

I've loosely followed the sketch from this week's challenge at
CAS colours & Sketches so will pop my card in there too as well
as another entry for the HLS CAS challenge - Water Colour Spritz!

As always thanks for paying me a visit today and I'll catch up with you again soon!
