Less is More #331

Morning friends, are you ready for this week's challenge at Less is More and can you believe that's another month ticked off! Summer is almost here! So the first week of the month signals our COLOUR challenge, new sponsor and guest designer.

We're delighted to welcome Shery of STAMPlorations as our Sponsor and Guest Designer and to get you into that summer mood we've chosen some popular ice-cream colours; Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla (otherwise known as Neapolitan) as our challenge.

Here's the Cue Card

Hopefully that won't cause too many issues and here's my cards. Going with the ice-cream theme I've stamped an ice-cream cone from a discontinued Clearly Besotted set called, So Sweet. The blobs of ice-cream are stencilled using a STAMPlorations 'splatters' stencil, with a strip of washi tape to the right and a sentiment from Avery Elle: Pick and Mix running along the tape.

This next one uses the Neat & Tangled Every Day Circles set and teamed with a border stamp from Uniko: Background Builders Triangulate.

Don't forget to check out the fabulous designs from my fellow teamies over on the main blog HERE

Hope you'll play along and have some fun and thanks for calling by and I'll be back soon!

  6. Bravo! That was total genius to use the stencil as the blobs of ice-cream Sarah! They even have the obligatory drips as they melt in the heat. What a fantastic layout too - just love a part cut circle panel and the border actually looks like washi tape - I had to double check it was a stamp. Superb geometric feel on the second card too. Super crisp stamping on that one. Love them both. Enjoy your weekend teamie! xx

  7. Wow, I didn't realize your ice cream is made with a spash-stencil, what a creative and most wonderful idea! Love how it turned out. The opening around the ice cream cone looks great too, adds a lot of interest to the card. I have to pin your card so I don't forget this idea! Your second card has the perfect CAS design, I love the repetitive use of sentiments and circle die cuts!

  10. These are so pretty Sarah! I love how you've used the challenge colours. The offset circle and strip of washi on the first card are fabulous touches, and I can't believe how well the splatter stencil creates ice cream! Great multi-tasking! I love the circles and triangle lines on the second card, and the font of the sentiment is brilliant, with a real Art deco feel to it that goes so well. Gorgeous! Have a great week x

  11. You are a genius, who would have thought to use a splats stencil to create ice cream?! A super design too with the aperture and detailed vertical strip. And another brilliant use of geometrics on your second, love this design with the repeated sentiment in circles. Oooh....CAS on Sunday challenge at the mo is repetition, get it linked up over there lady! xx
